I want to start with this very foundational question: Is the Bible the word of God? Because if it isn’t, that completely changes how we read it, why we read it, and how we talk about it with others. But if it is the word of God, and if we are people who believe it is the word of God, which I imagine most of you are in that camp, then maybe the better question to ask is: are we reading it like it is?
