My name is Alli. I’m super glad you’ve stopped by.
I’m a public school educator (13+ years) and I’m also a seminary student. I love to learn, I love to teach, and I’m on a journey to see how my faith and curiosity intersect, all with the hope of loving God and others more. Before too long, I’ll have this website running with blog posts, fun quirks, and even some helpful products for your own learning and faith journey. In the meantime, subscribe to the newsletter below to be the first to know when something fun and nerdy is made available!
Woohoo! You made it!
I’m summarizing the story of the Bible in my own words…
Each week, I’m reading a whole book of the Bible, writing a summary statement of the book, and highlighting a few key scriptures that help tell the story.

God creates humans with a purpose - to multiply his life to the world. But they rebel. He sets his sights on one family in particular for a reset - the Israelites.
Key Scripture:
1:26-28 Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness, so they may rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move on the earth.”
God created humankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them, male and female he created them.
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply! Fill the earth and subdue it! Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that moves on the ground.”

The Israelites do multiply, but the world around them is still in a state of de-creation, and the Israelites become enslaved in a God-denying Egypt. God doesn’t quit on his purpose, though. He brings Israel out of Egypt.
Key Scripture:
29:45-46 “I will reside among the Israelites, and I will be their God, and they will know that I am the LORD their God, who brought them out from the land of Egypt, so that I may reside among them. I am the LORD their God.”
